Lakeland Networks debuts Lakeland TV

Feb 6, 2024

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bracebridge,Ontario: Serving Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Almaguin, Lakeland Networks is thrilled to announce the debut of our new digital TV service “Lakeland TV”. The new service was launched on February 1st, 2024, to all Lakeland Networks’ TV subscribers. Previously, Lakeland provided TV service via another provider. As a new Muskoka-based TV provider, the move to launch and brand our own TV service confirms our long-term commitment to our customers and the community while providing an abundance of enhancement opportunities for the viewing experience.

Our new “Lakeland TV” community channel is on channel 200 and will provide viewers with information on the different Lakeland companies, exciting new services and solutions, and important emergency and maintenance notices.

We have added the CTV News Northern Ontario – North Bay across all packages to meet the viewing requirements and needs of our Burk’s Falls, Sundridge, and South River customers. A new scrolling Parry Sound, Huntsville, Barrie, and North Bay local weather channel, which provides a regional profile, has also been a great new addition to our existing packages.

Soon we will be adding watchTVeverywhere which allows viewers to watch online content from networks that are part of their paid Lakeland TV subscription. As broadcasters make Free Previews available from time to time, where possible we will aim to share these with our customers so they can experience channels that are not presently part of their subscription.

“Delivering a competitive TV service that more closely meets our customers’ expectations and needs is vitally important. Having the ability to manage and continually develop our television service is key to our continued success as a local community contributor. Our loyal customers have allowed our continued growth and success, so having the opportunity to improve their entertainment experience is key” says Dave Keith, Director of Business Development at Lakeland Networks.
